Before jumping into what persistence is, I thought it would be interesting to distinguish between persistence and resilience:
As adjectives, the difference between persistent and resilient is that persistent is obstinately refusing to give up or let go while resilient is able to endure tribulation without cracking.
When it comes to overcoming obstacles you really want to have both persistence & resilience.
So how do we develop and maintain persistence.
