Learning Path

Note: I am not a scientist, but I like to understand things. And when it comes to the brain,  I care about how the brain affects our thoughts and our actions. I keep it simple so I can understand and explaining it to you so you can leverage this knowledge.

In this lesson we are going to  look at the two parts of the brain:

  1. The primitive brain – which is very interested in instant gratification and in the now . It seeks pleasure and wants to avoid pain at all costs. The primitive brain wants us to survive. 
  2. The prefrontal cortex that we can use to plan ahead of time and delay gratification to later; this part of the brain is aware that delay can create bigger gratifications later. This is the more sophisticated part of the brain, the human brain, that we need to access in order to achieve the goals we set for ourselves.

This lesson will focus on understanding intellectually how to access your human brain and start practicing awareness

The program is broken in small chunks: 

  • Each video is no longer than 20 min and you can decide if you want to watch them all in one go, or spread them out. 
  • In each video, I ask you questions that I want you to take the time to answer. 
  • Then daily activity – 10 min in the morning and 10 min in the evening. 
  • You will also want to keep track of your time investment and check your calendar on a continuous basis.
